Thanksgiving for 2009

Thank you Lord, for countdown party 2008 going 2009.
I had a great time dressing up in different occupations tgt with my cell members as well as other youthnet family members. Guess what? I had a chance to dress up as a rescue worker! Haha.


Thank you Lord, for Judo reunion.
It was a blessing to meet up with coach Tan, Cheryl and all my judo mates. To hear the wise words from our good old coach was so lovely. And yes, catching up with one another, with whom close bonds were formed during judo trainings, competitions, training camps, post training suppers was just wonderful :)

Thanks for placing me into the community to provide health checkups for lower income groups in our community. I learnt, that community work is both fun and very challenging :)

For blessing me with CI Singa, a wonderful CI who taught, mentored and encouraged much. I learnt so much, so much from him and my beloved patients. Thank you Lord for J too, who was such a great study partner cum spiritual partner. Thanks for showing me of my gifting in working with this group of people :)

Thank you for showing and teaching me so much clinical skills. Thank you for so many wonderful docs and nurses who have shown their competence and whose willingness to teach just touched us so. Thank you for the many incidents here and there, of which you taught me about caring in the midst of chaos.Thank you Lord, for the very comprehensive and good emergency training you have given me.

Thank you Lord, for G12 conference
For planting another seed for the multitudes in me. To remind me of my calling to serve the nations.


Thank you Lord, for me being a guide in teens encounter wkend.
It was really a blessing to be there to witness the amazing things God was working through the many young lives there. Thank you Lord, for making it possible and for the privilege to serve in the midst of a very hectic schedule then.


Thank you Lord, for blessing me with perfect eyesight!
Thank you for an uneventful recovery post surgery :)


Thank you Lord, for being blessed to tag along clinicians who taught us how to clerk cases.


Thank you Lord, for allowing me to be the first pioneer batch of NUS nursing to graduate. There's so much to thank you for this Lord. Thank you for seeing me through all the impossibilities. Thank you for moulding a strong foundation of perspective in me to learn how to care. Thank you for teaching me how to learn. Thank you for all the encouragements and love when disappointments and confusion overwhelmed. Thank you for knowing me inside out and for training me so much through my uni days. Thank you, because I grew to know you so much more throughout this challenging time.

Thank you Lord, for helping me to accend Mt Kinabalu. Thank you for this wonderful spiritual climb. Thank you for showing me that you will be there for me even if the challenge ahead is too big for me, too scary, too dark, too lonely, too rough. Thank you for a very special mountain top experience I had with you up there. Thank you for blessing me with your beautiful creation. God, you are really creative and beautiful :)

Thank you Lord, for bible studies of a few books this year. Thank you especially for the Galations studies. I learnt so much about your amazing love and grace for us!

Thank you Lord, for my first medical trip to East Timor. To learn about missions, healing in the villages and a renewed passion to serve the sick and injured. Thank you for your protection! I escaped crashing into another vehicle up the edge of the mountain by just a minute bit!

Thank you Lord, for swimming at JE swimming pool with JJ. God, you held the rain just for us to enjoy :)

Thank you Lord, for Batam timeout with youthnet leaders. It was a blessing to be among those who serve.

Thank you Lord, for NDP picnic. Thank you for family and friends and impromptu joy and laughter.

Thank you Lord, for financial blessings. God, you truly provide :)

Thank you Lord, for placing me in one of the most challenging and toughest wd in Singapore. Lord, you taught me about faith, trust, obedience.. I am learning how to care in the midst of stress and along the way, to be a light for others to follow.

Thank you Lord, for helping me complete my first half-marathon. Thank you for enabling me to train for it even though it seemed tough with the my new job. I made it!

Thank you Lord, for blessing me with youthnet family KL retreat. By faith I signed up and Lord, you never failed to bless :)

Thank you Lord, for breakthrough in r/s. You are truly the centre of this r/s, Lord :)

Thank you Lord, for a surprise christmas gift by Christel. She blessed me with her own newly published book titled " 25 miles to touching the heart of God". Amazing. Thank you Lord, for her life and for blessing her with the ability to write a book to touch many more lives!

Thank you God, thank you J, for saying in so many ways " I just want you to know how much I love you" when I needed it most. You gave me courage to face the tough training ahead once again :)

for my beloved friend, D who recieved the greatest gift she could ever recieve in her whole life. Thank you God, for breakthrough in her life. Thank you Lord, for showing me once again of your love and grace for us. Thank you Lord, for the encouragement D gave to me when I saw how great her desire is to seek the truth and to be set free. Thank you Lord, for miracles and for answering my prayers for her throughout the years.

Thank you Lord, for cell retreat. It was a nice break from everything. Seeing you work in the lives of the youths and the deep sharing everyone shared was amazing. Your presence was so wonderful. Thank you for speaking to all of us throughout the whole retreat :)

Thank you Lord, for 2009 countdown party to 2010. Seeing a new generation of youth rising up for you is just so amazing. Thank you for the amazing time we had counting down while remembering your goodness in 2009.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord. The above is just a little glimpse to the many many things I can give thanks for. Thank you Lord, for your blessings and love throughout 2009. You have proven yourself so faithful. You never fail, O Lord. Thank you for your promises and faithfulness. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord!
