The calling

Weak girl outside
Strong warrior inside
Quiet and reserved outside
Intense spiritual battle inside

Who could foresee
This girl would have the anointing of David
Oppressed and restricted
But rising up
Since the day God called
To accept her God-given destiny
To run the race that is special and unique

Who could foresee
How God saw beyond the weaknesses
And started training this young girl since
to take up Kingdom position?

Putting aside all limitations
Man cruelly placed over her
She rose above her circumstances
And ran and ran since then

Trials and obstacles met along the way
She tripped, fell and cried
But every time picking herself up
Never giving in to self-pity
Looking up ahead,
And running once again to the final prize

Running this race
has never been easy for this little girl
Few know this
But those who know see how a little encouragement
Goes a long way for her

Along the way, however
Little girl realised
That the one encourager who truly stayed
Was her caller
The one who first called her
And the one who will see her through to the end
